Betty Lou Kaufman (Svalya)  (Info from the Lansing State Journal)

Betty, age 67 passed away on June 15, 2008 in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Betty and Jim had been married for 37-1/2 years.  She was step-mother to Allison, Jeanette, Colleen and Katherine Kaufman.  She had seven grandchildren. 

Betty was a Lansing native, an Eastern High School graduate and long-time employee of Michigan National Bank.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Marie and Richard Belding.  Memorial services are planned for July (2009)in Lansing.
